Terms of Service
These terms govern use of Totdesk. Schools subscribe to Totdesk under a separate written agreement with Tykeware; where that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement controls for that school. Everyone who uses Totdesk — school administrators, staff, families and inspectors — agrees to these terms by using it.
1. The service
Totdesk is a hosted software service for registering families, producing and signing a school's paperwork, computing tuition, and running a school's daily operations. It is provided to schools; families, staff and inspectors use it through the school that invited them.
2. Accounts and access
Access is personal. Keep sign-in codes, personal links and device sign-ins to yourself; the school can revoke access at any time. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter. A school's administrators are responsible for who they grant access to.
3. The school's records
Information entered into Totdesk belongs to the school that collected it (and, for personal information, to the people it is about). Tykeware processes it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. Schools may export their records at any time and may choose to publish copies to their own Google Drive.
4. Electronic signatures
Documents signed through Totdesk are signed electronically through our e-signature provider. By signing, you agree that your electronic signature has the same effect as a handwritten one, and that you have been given the opportunity to review the document.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Totdesk to access information you are not authorized to see, to interfere with the service, or in violation of law. Do not attempt to circumvent access controls. We may suspend access that threatens the security or integrity of the service.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep Totdesk available and will give schools notice of planned maintenance where practical. We may improve or change features over time; we will not remove a capability a school relies on without reasonable notice.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Totdesk is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. Tykeware is not responsible for the accuracy of information entered by users, for a school's compliance with its licensing obligations, or for indirect or consequential losses. Tykeware's total liability to a school is limited as set out in that school's agreement.
8. Termination
A school may end its subscription as set out in its agreement; on termination its records are returned to it and then deleted from our systems, apart from what we must keep for legal or security reasons.
